About Us

DO KADAM HAMARE SAATH is a non-profit organization, working for the empowerment and upliftment of poor and marginalized communities. The head office is located in Devghar, Jharkhand and communication office is at Delhi. The Organization was established during 2012 and work towards a vision of "Empowerment for every individual" to reinforce community development with a mission to "facilitate a process where marginalized group particularly women and children have innate quality of life"

DO KADAM HAMARE SAATH has been working for the poor to emancipate the poor and illiterate people through programmes of education, vocational training, SHGs & Livelihood, Sanitation, Environment and improvement of community health services to promote a democratic, exploitation-free society, ensuring quality of opportunity to all both at research level and action level.

DO KADAM HAMARE SAATH also undertakes research-based activities for issues that concern the women, especially adolescents and young women, and children in programmes areas of Jharkhand.

The Organization has been actively engaged in community welfare activities in this area for the past one year and is carrying out various grass roots interventions. The organization has a strong presence in the target community. We have an understanding of the socioeconomic and cultural profile of the area and enjoy a good rapport in the community.

Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of DO KADAM HAMARE SAATH include socio-economic, cultural and educational upliftment of the society and its people, especially the women and children.

1) Work for welfare of women and children especially rural poor under-privileged sections of the society.

2) Provide a basic forum for research on education, early childhood care and education, literacy, health and family welfare, and on other social and cultural issues.

3) Undertake the publication of printed and audio-visual materials for children and social welfare activities.

4) Undertake awareness building activities for the education and literacy, especially of girl child.

5) Provide child-care centres in areas where these facilities are lacking.

6) Render counselling services on health, education, social and economic justice and provide legal assistance to poor and needy persons.

7) Arrange seminars and conferences on educational, cultural, social and current issues.

8) Start vocational and skill development training centres for women and youth particularly of deprived section.

10) Create awareness among the people on social issues through cultural activities and stage shows.

11) To collaborate with other likeminded organizations and institutions.

12) Undertake any other activities which would be necessary for achieving the aims and objectives of the organizations.

Our mission is to facilitate and execute a program for the underprivileged with special attention to woman and children. We synergize these efforts, to achieve our mission, by working in partnership with other development sectors which have the right perspective in the area of human development.
